Men’s Tennis Falls in Season Finale, 6-3, at Saint Michael’s

COLCHESTER, Vt. (April 14, 2013) – Sophomore Mark Petrie won in both third doubles and fifth singles play on Sunday afternoon, but the Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team suffered a 6-3 setback on the road against Saint Michael’s in Northeast-10 Conference play.

(April 13, 2013) – Junior Pat Gilhuly (Killingworth, Conn.) and sophomore Chris Brewer (Brattleboro, Vt.) combined for an 8-1 win at first doubles before dropping only a combined four games in wins at first and second singles, respectively, on Saturday as the Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team picked up a 9-0 win over Saint Anselm in Northeast-10 Conference play at Franklin Pierce.

(April 12, 2013) – Freshman Drew Bennett (Rindge, N.H.) picked up a win at fourth singles on Friday afternoon, but the Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team was defeated, 5-4, by American International in Northeast-10 Conference, neutral-site play at Hampshire Hills Sports and Fitness Club.

Marty Morrissey Tabbed as Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach

RINDGE, N.H. (August 28, 2012) – Franklin Pierce University Director of Athletics Bruce Kirsh announced on Tuesday that Marty Morrissey has been named the new Head Coach of both the men’s and women’s tennis programs, effective immediately. Morrissey brings four years of collegiate head coaching experience, all in the Division III New England Collegiate Conference, with him to the Ravens.
