Cross Country Participates In Northeast-10 Championship

COLCHESTER, Vt. (October 25, 2009) Sophomore Melissa Dymek (Hubbardston, Mass.) finished 136th overall in a time of 23:32 on Sunday to lead the Franklin Pierce University cross country team to a 16th-place finish at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship, hosted by Saint Michaels. Southern Connecticut State senior Laura Brustolon won the event individually with a time of 18:03, while Stonehill took home the team title.
Cross Country Competes At WNEC Invitational

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (October 17, 2009) Sophomore Melissa Dymek (Hubbardston, Mass.) finished 65th overall in a time of 24:15 on Saturday to lead the Franklin Pierce University cross country team to a 14th-place finish at the Western New England College Invitational. Castleton State junior Margaret Klein won the event individually with a time of 19:29, while Salve Regina took home the team title.

WESTFIELD, Mass. (October 10, 2009) Sophomore Melissa Dymek (Hubbardston, Mass.) finished 163rd overall in a time of 24:33 on Saturday to lead the Franklin Pierce University cross country team to a 23rd-place finish at the 14th annual James Earley Invitational, hosted by Westfield State. Westfield State senior Kerry Arouca won the event individually with a time of 18:57, while Southern Maine took home the team title.

(September 25, 2009) Sophomore Melissa Dymek (Hubbardston, Mass.) finished 163rd overall in a personal season-best time of 23:55 on Saturday to lead the Franklin Pierce University cross country team to a 26th-place finish at the Pop Crowell Invitational, hosted by Gordon. Wellesley freshman Randelle Boots won the event individually with a time of 18:55 to lead Wellesley to the team title as well.

Emerson junior Cat Viglienzoni won the event individually with a time of 21:46 to lead the Lions to the team title as well.

(September 12, 2009) Senior Alexandra Edwards (Smithfield, R.I.) finished 53rd overall in a time of 25:28 on Saturday to lead the Franklin Pierce University cross country team to a seventh-place finish at the 28th annual Shacklette Invitational, hosted by Saint Anselm. Saint Rose senior Melissa Bredice won the event individually with a time of 20:02 to lead Saint Rose to the team title as well.

RINDGE, N.H. (July 16, 2009) Franklin Pierce University has named Rick Senatore as head coach of mens lacrosse and womens cross country. The announcement was made today by Bruce Kirsh, Vice President and Director of Athletics at the University, and confirmed by President Dr. James Birge.
