Mitchell Earns Northeast-10 All-Academic Honors

RINDGE, N.H. (November 2, 2004) - Franklin Pierce women’s cross country team member Rachel Mitchell (Shirley, Mass./Ayer) has earned a spot on the 2004 Northeast-10 All-Academic Second Team. The teams are selected by the Sports Information Directors of the Northeast-10. Candidates are chosen based on their performances both in and outside of their sport. She was one of just fourteen student-athletes selected out of the 22 who were nominated. The Franklin Pierce junior has earned a 3.95 cumulative grade point average while majoring in Mass Communication with a Sociology Minor.

COLCHESTER, Vt. (October 24, 2004) – The Franklin Pierce University men's and women's cross country teams participated in the 2004 Northeast-10 Championships, hosted by Saint Michael’s College today. Overall, the men and women both finished in 13th place in their final meet of the fall season. Stonehill College won the team competition on both the men’s and women’s sides.

NASHUA, N.H. (October 15, 2004) – The Franklin Pierce University men's and women's cross country teams participated in the 2004 Rivier Invitational, hosted by Rivier College on Friday. Overall, the men's team placed in third place, while the women did not qualify. Emerson College claimed first place in both the men's and women's team competitions, garnering scores of 33 and 18 points respectively.

Overall, the men finished in third place, while the women did not qualify. Saint Anselm College and Rivier College won the team competitions on the men’s and women’s respectively.

Overall, the men and women both finished in sixth place. Bentley College emerged as the team champion on both the men’s and women’s side of the meet.

(September 11, 2004) – The Franklin Pierce University men's and women's cross country teams participated in the 2004 Dana Boardman Cross Country Invitational, hosted by Stonehill College, this afternoon. Overall, the men finished in fifth place, while the women took seventh. Stonehill emerged as the team champion on the men's side of the meet, while Brown was the winner on the women's side.
