Franklin Pierce XC Team Participates in Stonehill Invitational
Men finish fifth, women take seventh
EASTON, Mass. (September 11, 2004)
– The Franklin Pierce University men's and women's cross
country teams participated in the 2004 Dana Boardman Cross Country
Invitational, hosted by Stonehill College, this afternoon. Overall,
the men finished in fifth place, while the women took seventh.
Stonehill emerged as the team champion on the men's side of the
meet, while Brown was the winner on the women's side.
The top finisher for Franklin Pierce on the women’s side was
junior Rachel Mitchell (Shirley,
Mass./Ayer), who placed 39th out of a field of 59
competitors with her time of 23:20.
The top performer on the men's team was senior Adam Marsh (Rutland, Mass./Wachusett
Regional), finishing 32nd out of 41 with a time of
31:07.
The teams next participate in the Shaklette Invitational in
Manchester, N.H. on Sunday, Sept. 19 with the women's race starting
at 10:30 a.m. and the men's race starting at 11:15 a.m.
