RINDGE, N.H. (June 14, 2012) – Franklin Pierce University women’s track & field/cross country head coach Zach Emerson announced on Thursday his recruiting for the 2012-13 season. The upcoming year promises to be a historic one as the University sponsors the sport of track & field for the first time, while also adding emphasis to the cross country program.

WESTFIELD, Mass. (October 23, 2011) – Freshman Kelsey Devlin (Warwick, R.I.) finished 134th overall in a time of 21:57 on Sunday afternoon as the Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team concluded its season by placing 16th in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship, hosted by American International at Stanley Park. American International junior Jeptui Cherutich captured the individual title in 17:39, while Stonehill took home the team championship.

(October 13, 2011) – Franklin Pierce University Vice President/Director of Athletics Bruce Kirsh announced on Thursday that Zach Emerson has been named the new head coach of the men’s and women’s track & field and cross country programs. Emerson will officially begin his duties on Oct. 24.

(October 8, 2011) – Freshman Kelsey Devlin (Warwick, R.I.) finished 195th overall in a time of 23:17 on Saturday afternoon as the Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team placed 31st in the James Earley Invitational, hosted by Westfield State. Bridgewater State senior Molly Rouillard won the individual title with a time of 18:45, while Coast Guard claimed the team title.

(September 23, 2011) – Freshman Kelsey Devlin (Warwick, R.I.) finished 100th overall in a time of 22:24 on Saturday afternoon as the Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team placed 23rd in the Pop Crowell Invitational, hosted by Gordon. Salve Regina senior Caroline Norton won the individual title with a time of 19:13, as Salve Regina and Saint Anselm split the team title.

(September 23, 2011) – Freshman Kelsey Devlin (Warwick, R.I.) finished 29th overall in a time of 23:55 on Friday afternoon as the Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team placed fifth in the Raider Invitational, hosted by Rivier. Saint Anselm freshman Courtney Bennett won the individual title with a time of 19:16 to lead the Hawks to the team title in the nine-team meet.

(September 9, 2011) – Freshman Kelsey Devlin (Warwick, R.I.) finished 22nd overall in a time of 26:58 on Friday afternoon as the Franklin Pierce University cross country team placed fourth in the Jim Sheehan Classic, hosted by Fitchburg State. Eastern Connecticut State senior Amanda Quinones won the individual title with a time of 21:02 on the 3.1-mile course, while Worcester State captured the team title.

(September 2, 2011) – Freshman Kelsey Devlin (Warwick, R.I.) finished 35th overall in a time of 15:52 on Friday evening as the Franklin Pierce University cross country team placed seventh in the Mayflower Kickoff Meet, hosted by New England College. Babson junior Charlotte Margel led her school to the team title with the top individual time of 12:14.
