Pastor Pastor finished second among the Ravens' five runners on Friday evening at the Mayflower Kickoff Meet.

HENNIKER, N.H. (September 2, 2011) – Freshman Kelsey Devlin (Warwick, R.I.) finished 35th overall in a time of 15:52 on Friday evening as the Franklin Pierce University cross country team placed seventh in the Mayflower Kickoff Meet, hosted by New England College. Babson junior Charlotte Margel led her school to the team title with the top individual time of 12:14.

Coming in 10 seconds behind Devlin was sophomore Natasha Pastor (Fitzwilliam, N.H.), who finished 37th overall (of 60 runners). Also in that same minute, junior Brittany Mather (North Kingstown, R.I.) crossed the finished line with a time of 16:23, placing 41st.

Other Ravens runners included sophomore Bianca Acebron-Peco (Bow, N.H) and freshman Madelene Morrill (Greenville, P.A.). Acebron-Peco finished 47th with a time of 17:04, while Morrill placed 51st in a time of 17:36.

Babson (30 points) had three runners place in the top four spots to lead them to an 11-point victory over Gordon, which finished second. Colby-Sawyer (63 points), New England College (117), and Johnson State (136) rounded out the top five in the seven-team meet.

Individually, Margel finished seven seconds before senior teammate Michelle Black, who placed second. Behind her was freshman Brianne Dunn of Colby-Sawyer with a time of 12:28. Babson's Marina Capalbo (12:40) and Gordon's Kelcy Rich (13:00) finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

The Ravens return to action on Friday, Sept. 9, at the Jim Sheehan Classic, hosted by Fitchburg State, at 4 p.m.
