Field Hockey Puts 11 on NFHCA Division II National Academic Squad

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (June 6, 2022) -- The Franklin Pierce University field hockey team has had 11 student-athletes named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II National Academic Squad, as announced earlier this spring by the NFHCA. Furthermore, freshman Lexie Frank (Cape May Court House, N.J.), freshman Rebecca Phillips (West Amwell, N.J.) and sophomore Julia Rooijakkers (Eindhoven, Netherlands) were each named as a Scholar of Distinction by the NFHCA, while the team earned the NFHCA’s National Academic Team Award.

Franklin Pierce has Eight Earn NE10 Academic All-Conference Selections

MANSFIELD, Mass. (February 17, 2022) -- Franklin Pierce University has had eight student-athletes earn Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference honors for the fall season, as announced earlier this month by the league office. The selected Ravens were among 90 student-athletes across seven sports honored by the NE10.

Field Hockey’s van Doorn Named to All-NE10 Third Team

MANSFIELD, Mass. (November 2, 2021) -- Senior forward Feline van Doorn (Barendrecht, Netherlands) of the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team has been named to the All-Northeast-10 Conference Third Team, as announced on Tuesday afternoon by the league office. It is the second straight All-NE10 Third Team selection for van Doorn, who was also honored in 2019.

Field Hockey Drops Season Finale to Pace, 3-1

RINDGE, N.H. (October 30, 2021) -- A pair of second-half goals were the difference on Saturday, as the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team concluded its season with a 3-1 loss at home against Pace in Northeast-10 Conference play at Sodexo Field. Freshman Krista Dietz struck twice to lead the way for Pace in the Northeast-10 Conference affair, while junior Meghan Winn (Newburyport, Mass.) scored the lone goal in defeat for Franklin Pierce.

Field Hockey Stumbles Against STAC, 4-1

RINDGE, N.H. (October 26, 2021) -- Back home for the penultimate game of the season, the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team came out on the short end of a 4-1 decision against St. Thomas Aquinas at a damp and dreary Sodexo Field on Tuesday afternoon. Sophomore Hailey Galison had a goal and an assist to lead the way for STAC in the Northeast-10 Conference contest.

Field Hockey Tripped up at No. 9 Adelphi, 6-1

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. (October 23, 2021) - Graduate student Danielle Kempf scored twice and added an assist on Saturday afternoon, as No. 9 nationally ranked Adelphi handed the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team a 6-1 defeat in Northeast-10 Conference play at Motamed Field. Senior Feline van Doorn (Barendrecht, Netherlands) found the net in defeat for the Ravens.

Field Hockey Falls at No. 10 Bentley, 2-0

October 20, 2021

WALTHAM, Mass. (October 20, 2021) - The Franklin Pierce University field hockey team hit the road on Wednesday afternoon, but could not put much of an offensive threat together in a 2-0 loss at No. 10 nationally ranked Bentley. Sophomore Katie Thies struck in the first half, and junior Ava Bevilacqua added another in the second half for the host Falcons. The Ravens were outshot 19-3 on the afternoon and failed to put a shot on target.

Field Hockey Stumbles at Mercy, 3-2 (OT)

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (October 16, 2021) -- A second-half rally allowed the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team to force overtime on Saturday, on the road at Mercy. Overtime itself, though, would not go the way of the Ravens at Mercy Field. Graduate student Nicole Cotton found the back of the cage 4:36 into the extra session, as the host Mavericks dealt Franklin Pierce a 3-2, Northeast-10 Conference loss.

Field Hockey Topped by No. 8 Saint Anselm, 5-0

October 13, 2021

RINDGE, N.H. (October 13, 2021) -- The Franklin Pierce University field hockey team struggled to get anything going in the first half on Wednesday evening, and a 2-0 halftime advantage would prove to be more than sufficient for the visiting Hawks of No. 8 nationally ranked Saint Anselm. The Ravens put a more cohesive effort together in the second half, but surrendered three more goals as Saint Anselm posted a 5-0 victory in the Northeast-10 Conference affair at Sodexo Field. Senior Carly LaCasse scored twice to lead the way for the Hawks.

Field Hockey Shutout by No. 3 Assumption, 4-0

October 10, 2021

RINDGE, N.H. (October 10, 2021) -- In the midst of its toughest stretch on the schedule, and with a short bench to boot, the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team took on No. 3 nationally ranked Assumption at Sodexo Field on Sunday. Junior Christina Leonard and freshman Mia Salah scored twice apiece for the visiting Greyhounds, as Franklin Pierce suffered a 4-0 loss at home in non-conference play. Freshman Addy Araneo (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) finished with a season-best 15 saves in the loss for the Ravens.

WORCESTER, Mass. (October 6, 2021) -- No. 3 nationally ranked Assumption scored three goals in the first nine minutes of the game and never looked back on Wednesday night, as the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team suffered a 5-1 loss on the road. Seniors Jenna Graf and Shannon Quinlan each had a goal and an assist to lead the Greyhounds in the Northeast-10 Conference contest, while sophomore Silver Clukey (Winslow, Maine) scored the lone goal in defeat for the Ravens.

(October 4, 2021) -- Senior Feline van Doorn (Barendrecht, Netherlands) of the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week, for the week ending on Oct. 3, as announced on Monday by the league office. In addition, freshmen Addy Araneo (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) and Rebecca Phillips (West Amwell, N.J.) both landed on the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll.

RINDGE, N.H. (October 3, 2021) -- For a team which has struggled at times to find the net so far in 2021, this week has been a coming-out party for the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team. A 3-0 win on Wednesday at American International turned out to be just a prelude to a Sunday six-spot at Sodexo Field. Senior Feline van Doorn (Barendrecht, Netherlands) popped home three of them to record her first career hat trick, while junior Christine Jarowicz (Kennebunk, Maine) added a goal and two assists for a four-point day of her own, as the Ravens chalked up a 6-0 win over visiting Molloy in Northeast-10 Conference play.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (September 29, 2021) -- The Franklin Pierce University field hockey team punched its way back into the win column on the road on Wednesday night. The Ravens put home goals in the second, third and fourth quarters, each from a different goal-scorer, to chalk up a 3-0 win over American International, in non-conference play at Abdow Field. Senior Feline van Doorn (Barendrecht, Netherlands) notched the game-winner in the middle of the second quarter.

Field Hockey Doubled Up at SNHU, 4-2

MANCHESTER, N.H. (September 26, 2021) – Twice on Sunday, the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team held a one-goal lead, but neither time could they make it stick at Larkin Field. Instead, host Southern New Hampshire rallied with a pair of third-quarter scores, plus another in the fourth, to stick the Ravens with a 4-2 loss in the Northeast-10 Conference contest, despite a 14-8 advantage for Franklin Pierce in shots on goal. Junior Christine Jarowicz (Kennebunk, Maine) and senior Feline van Doorn (Barendrecht, Netherlands) found the net for the Ravens in defeat, while freshman Annemartine Christis put home a pair for SNHU.

RINDGE, N.H. (September 22, 2021) -- The Franklin Pierce University field hockey team wrapped up a three-game homestand on Wednesday afternoon, as the Ravens squared off against No. 5 nationally ranked Stonehill at Sodexo Field. Sophomores Meghan Bean and Raegan Hickey notched a goal and an assist each to lead the visiting Skyhawks to a 4-1 victory in the Northeast-10 Conference contest.
