RINDGE, N.H. (March 7, 2006) – The Franklin Pierce field hockey team is recognized as one of the top programs academically in NCAA Division II as it received Academic Squad status from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) for the 2005 season. It marks the third time in the past four years that the program has received academic honors.

The teams are selected by the Sports Information Directors of the Northeast-10. Candidates are chosen based on their performances both on and off the field.

The host Skyhawks set a school record with their eighth straight victory dating back to September 14th.
