Cross Country/Track & Field Cleans up in Recent USTFCCCA Awards

RINDGE, N.H. (March 5, 2019) – The Franklin Pierce University cross country and track & field programs have been busy hauling in awards in recent weeks. Over the course of February and early March, the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced multiple awards selections, all of which have featured Ravens as honorees. These include academic awards for the cross country season, as well as All-Region performers and Regional award winners for the indoor track & field season.
Women’s Cross Country Places 13th at NCAA East Regional

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. (November 17, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team wrapped up its 2018 season on Saturday afternoon by competing at the NCAA Championship East Regional, hosted by Adelphi. Junior Julia Cormier (Northwood, N.H.) led the way for the Ravens, as she finished 54th in the 184-runner field. Franklin Pierce finished 13th, out of 27 teams at the meet.
Women’s Cross Country Places 11th at NE10 Championship

HOPKINTON, N.H. (November 4, 2018) – Sophomore Daijanique White (Hartford, Conn.) was one of two members of the Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team to finish in the top-50 on Sunday morning, as the Ravens hosted the Northeast-10 Conference Cross Country Championship at Hopkinton State Fairgrounds. White and junior Julia Cormier (Northwood, N.H.) led Franklin Pierce to an 11th-place finish in the 15-team meet.
Women’s Cross Country Takes Ninth at Kirsh Cup

HOPKINTON, N.H. (October 20, 2018) – After two weeks off, the Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team returned to action on Saturday, as the team hosted the sixth annual Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup, at Hopkinton State Fairgrounds. Junior Julia Cormier (Northwood, N.H.) finished 35th, in a 124-runner field, to lead the Ravens to a ninth-place finish, out of 11 teams.
Cross Country’s Fenoff, Thompson Pile up NE10 Weekly Awards

RINDGE, N.H. (October 2, 2018) – Freshman Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.) of the Franklin Pierce University men’s cross country team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Athlete of the Week, as well as Rookie of the Week, for the week ending on Sept. 30, as announced on Tuesday by the Conference office. In addition, freshman Alana Thompson (Westampton, N.J.) was selected as Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week on the women’s side.
Women’s Cross Country Finishes 13th at Saratoga Invitational

SARATOGA, N.Y. (September 29, 2018) – An 82nd-place finish from junior Julia Cormier (Northwood, N.H.) and an 84th-place finish by freshman Alana Thompson (Westampton, N.J.) led the way on Saturday for the Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team at the Saratoga Invitational, hosted by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The duo led three Ravens in the top 100 of the 192-runner field, as Franklin Pierce finished 13th, out of 16 teams.
Both Cross Country Teams Regionally Ranked

RINDGE, N.H. (September 19, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University cross country program currently has both its men’s and women’s teams ranked among the top 10 teams in the East Region, as announced on Tuesday by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Franklin Pierce is one of six schools in the East Region to currently have both its men’s and women’s teams regionally ranked.
Women’s Cross Country Notches Top-10 at UMass Dartmouth Invitational

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (September 15, 2018) – Sophomore Marissa Farago (Salisbury, Mass.) chalked up a top-50 finish in a 318-runner field on Saturday, to lead the way for the Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team. The Ravens were able to put five among the top 125 finishers, which allowed the team to post a 10th-place finish in the 45-team meet.
Women’s Cross Country Runs at Mount St. Mary’s 5k Duals to Open Season

EMMITSBURG, Md. (August 31, 2018) – Sophomore Marissa Farago (Salisbury, Mass.) slipped into the top 25, of an 85-runner field filled largely with Division I student-athletes, to lead the way for the Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team at the Mount St. Mary’s 5k Duals. As a team at the season-opening meet, the Ravens went winless in the dual-meet format, falling to George Washington, Johns Hopkins, Maryland, host Mount St. Mary’s and Maryland-Baltimore County.
