Three Student Athletes Earn Academic All-Conference Honors

Franklin Pierce University athletes Carly Canavan (Kingston, N.Y.) of the field hockey team, Katie Leidhold (Acushnet, Mass.) of the volleyball team and Hamish Cadigan (Christchurch, New Zealand) of the men’s soccer team have all earned Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference Honors it was announced Wednesday afternoon by the league office.

With the loss, the Crimson and Grey finish the campaign at 12-6 and the Warriors remain alive at 15-5.

The Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer team showed some flair for the dramatic in their one regular season contest against Southern New Hampshire University and the Ravens clutch gene appeared yet again this time during the Northeast-10 Conference Quarterfinals as Charlie Madden (Newton Abbott, United Kingdom) headed home the game winner 12 minutes into extra time which gave the Ravens a 2-1 double overtime victory against the Penmen on Tuesday evening.

Freshman Jacob Blixt (Borrby, Sweden) scored two of the squads three goals as the no. 20 nationally-ranked Franklin Pierce University Ravens defeated Northeast-10 opponent the College of Saint Rose 3-1 on Saturday evening. With the victory, the Ravens earn their 10th win and improve to 8-3 in league play and the loss drops the Golden Knights to 5-8-1, 3-7-1 NE-10.
