ALBANY (October 22, 2016) – Freshman Jacob Blixt (Borrby, Sweden) scored two of the squads three goals as the no. 20 nationally-ranked Franklin Pierce University Ravens defeated Northeast-10 opponent the College of Saint Rose 3-1 on Saturday evening. With the victory, the Ravens earn their 10th win and improve to 8-3 in league play and the loss drops the Golden Knights to 5-8-1, 3-7-1 NE-10. The win was the Ravens third in a row.

Blixt scored his eighth and ninth goal in the contest both in the second half. His first tally gave the Ravens the lead for good when teammate Marius Preber (Jessheim, Norway) crossed the ball to Blixt who ripped a one-timer home to give the guests a 2-1 lead.

Blixit added insurance four minutes later as his score went in off the crossbar. Hamish Cadigan (Christchurch, New Zealand) got the scoring started for the Ravens as he deposited a penalty kick into the back of the cage for his third goal of the season.

Jadel Poon-Lewis (Diego Martin, Trinidad & Tobago) made two saves and improved to 10-3 on the year. Christian Esposito made four saves and dropped to 5-8-1 in the loss.

The Ravens return to Rindge on Tuesday for their home finale and Senior Day contest against Le Moyne at 4:00 p.m.
