RINDGE, N.H. (February 21, 2007) – The Franklin Pierce field hockey team received academic recognition on Tuesday afternoon as seven players were named to the 2006 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-Academic Squad. This marks the fourth time in the past five years the program has received academic honors.

RINDGE, N.H. (October 31, 2006) – Senior captain Angela Barone (Norwood, Pa./Interboro) and junior captain Elizabeth Ellis (Turner, Maine/Leavitt) of the Franklin Pierce field hockey team were named to the 2006 Northeast-10 All Academic First Team as selected by the Conference’s Sports Information Directors. The announcement was made by the NE-10 office this afternoon.

Junior Angela Cafarelli (Enfield, Conn./Enfield) registered the game-winning goal with just 5:47 remaining in regulation to give the Owls their fifth victory of the season.

Sophomore Kayleigh Jaksina (Townsend, Mass./North Middlesex) registered the game-winning goal with just 4:03 remaining in regulation to secure the Ravens sixth victory of the season.

Sophomore Jenee Clifford (Sandown, N.H./Timberlane) netted the game-winning goal with just 1:41 remaining in overtime to clinch the Ravens fifth victory of the season.
