Track & Field Programs Earn All-Academic Team Honors from USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS (August 17, 2021) -- Franklin Pierce University’s men’s and women’s track & field programs have both earned the All-Academic Team award from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2020-21 year, as announced earlier this summer.

(August 11, 2021) -- Junior Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.) of the Franklin Pierce University cross country and track & field program has earned Academic All-America Third Team honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), as announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Cross Country/Track & Field Puts Four on CoSIDA Academic All-District Teams

GREENWOOD, Ind. (August 4, 2021) -- The Franklin Pierce University cross country and track & field program has had four student-athletes earn Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), as announced earlier this summer. Sophomore Connor Everidge (Baldwinville, Mass.) and junior Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.) from the men’s team, as well as juniors Alena Masterson (Pelham, N.H.) and Stephanie Phoenix (Wallingford, Conn.) from the women’s team, were all named to the Academic All-District I First Team. As a result of their selection, all four advanced to the Academic All-America ballot.

Track & Field Athletes Find Success on Foreign Soil

RINDGE, N.H. (July 29, 2021) -- A pair of Franklin Pierce University track & field athletes -- and an alum as well -- have spent their summer conquering far-off lands, or at least finding success at the national level in their native countries. Rising sophomore Ryan Outerbridge (Paget, Bermuda), rising senior Paola Brena (Queretaro, Mexico) and Dage Minors ’19 have all earned podium places at the national level this summer.

MANSFIELD, Mass. (June 29, 2021) -- Franklin Pierce University has had 14 student-athletes earn Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference honors for the spring season, as announced on Tuesday by the league office. The selected Ravens were among 113 student-athletes across 10 sports honored by the NE10.

NEW ORLEANS (May 24, 2021) -- Sophomore Julieth Nwosu (Brockton, Mass.) and assistant coach Whitney Cyr both hauled in some serious hardware late last week, as the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced its end-of-season All-Region awards. Nwosu was named the East Region Women’s Field Athlete of the Year, while Cyr was selected as East Region Women’s Assistant Coach of the Year. Nwosu added a pair of All-East Region accolades to headline 13 total All-Region nods for the Ravens, across their men’s and women’s programs.

Men’s Track & Field Nets Two All-New England Finishes at New England Championships

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (May 14, 2021) -- A pair of All-New England finishes highlighted the day for the Franklin Pierce University men’s track & field team on Saturday, at the second and final day of the NEICAAA Championships (New England Championships). Freshman Stephen Harris (Billerica, Mass.), as well as the 4x800-meter relay team, earned honors for their top-eight performances at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

(May 14, 2021) -- Fittingly for a trip to the Hardware City, freshman Wondu Summa (Burlington, Vt.) of the Franklin Pierce University men’s track & field team picked up the biggest honor of his young collegiate career on Friday. At the first day of the NEICAAA Championships (New England Championships), Summa turned in a second-place finish to earn All-New England plaudits at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Youth Shines as Men’s Track & Field Takes Fourth at NE10 Championships

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (May 7, 2021) -- The Franklin Pierce University men’s track & field team put together six All-Northeast-10 Conference performances -- including four from freshmen -- and 21 point-scoring performances on Friday at the NE10 Championships, hosted by American International College. Combined with a pair of point scorers from Thursday’s limited action, the Ravens totaled 85 points on the way to a fourth-place finish, out of 11 teams.

(May 6, 2021) -- A select few athletes from the Franklin Pierce University men’s track & field program were in action on Thursday, on the first day of the three-day Northeast-10 Conference Championships, hosted by American International College. Despite only having five athletes in action, the Ravens got a pair of point-scoring performances on the opening day.

(May 4, 2021) -- For the fifth straight week, sophomore Julieth Nwosu (Brockton, Mass.) of the Franklin Pierce University women’s track & field team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Field Rookie of the Week, this time for the week ending on May 2, as announced on Tuesday afternoon by the league office. This time around, she was joined by freshman Brogan Bonsaint (Somersworth, N.H.), who took home Field Rookie of the Week accolades on the men’s side.

Bonsaint Shines as Men’s Track & Field Wins SNHU Last Chance Meet

MANCHESTER, N.H. (May 1, 2021) -- It was freshman Brogan Bonsaint (Somersworth, N.H.) who stole the show on Saturday afternoon, as the Franklin Pierce University men’s track & field team competed at the SNHU Last Chance Conference Qualifier, hosted by Southern New Hampshire University. The meet was the final chance to post qualifying times for next week’s Northeast-10 Conference Championships, and Bonsaint did even more, as he produced an NCAA Championships provisional qualifying throw in the javelin.

Track & Field Takes Men’s and Women’s Titles at Teamsgiving Relays - North

KEENE, N.H. (April 28, 2021) -- The Franklin Pierce University track & field program wrapped up the Teamsgiving Relays - North on Wednesday, with the second day of competition. The two-day meet wrapped up with throwing events at Keene State’s athletic complex. When all was said and done, the Ravens’ men’s and women’s squads both finished first out of three teams.

This time, the host Ravens and their competition were at the athletic complex on the campus of Keene State to complete the throwing events.

WINCHENDON, Mass. (April 20, 2021) - For the first time in program history, the Franklin Pierce University track & field program played host to a track meet on Tuesday afternoon. The Ravens welcomed Southern New Hampshire to the track at Murdock High School for the Teamsgiving Relays - South. It was the first day of a two-day event, which will wrap up on Wednesday, with action at Keene State’s athletic complex. Graduate student Bethaney Donnelly (Manchester, United Kingdom) highlighted the day, as she established a new school record in the 10,000 meters on the women’s side (38:36.35).
