Drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 27th round (799 overall) of the 2014 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.

At the end of his career, ranked second all-time in program history in stolen bases (92), ranked ninth in games played (196), tied for ninth in at bats (682), ranked 12th in hits (209) and tied for 12th in runs scored (130).

Among program single-season recrods, at the end of his career, tied for second in stolen bases (32, 2014), tied for fifth in hit by pitch (12, 2013), tied for seventh in stolen bases (26, 2013), tied for ninth in stolen bases (25, 2012) and tied for 11th in hit by pitch (11, 2012).
