Ravens Have 218 Student-Athletes Named to NE10 Academic Honor Roll

EASTON, Mass. (June 25, 2019) – The Franklin Pierce University Department of Athletics has had 218 student-athletes named to the Northeast-10 Conference Academic Honor Roll for the spring 2019 semester, as announced on Monday afternoon by the Conference office.

EASTON, Mass. (June 17, 2019) – The Franklin Pierce University track & field program has had four student-athletes earn Academic All-Conference honors from the Northeast-10 Conference for the spring, outdoor season, as announced on Monday afternoon by the Conference office. Sophomore Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France), junior Tyler Hayes (Kings Park, N.Y.) and sophomore Antonio Rua (Burrillville, R.I.) earned the accolade for the men’s team, while junior Julia Cormier (Northwood, N.H.) was honored from the women’s team.

RINDGE, N.H. (February 1, 2019) – Franklin Pierce University has had five student-athletes earn Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference honors for the fall season, as announced on Friday afternoon by the Conference office. Senior midfielder Raegan Moulton (Baldwinville, Mass.) of the field hockey team, sophomore forward Yannik Felber (Vallendar, Germany) and junior back Niklas Laudahn (Olfen, Germany) of the men’s soccer team, and junior forward Veronica Marques (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and senior back Marta Turmo (Barcelona, Spain) of the women’s soccer team, were all honored by the league. The selected Ravens were among 88 student-athletes across seven sports honored by the NE10.

(December 17, 2018) – Franklin Pierce University Director of Athletics Rachel Burleson has announced Ruben Resendes has been named as the 11th head coach of the University’s men’s soccer program. The former Southern New Hampshire University standout will return to the Northeast-10 Conference to take on his second collegiate head coaching job, and his first at the Division II level.

Russell Gaskamp Tabbed to Lead Franklin Pierce Football Program

RINDGE, N.H. (December 14, 2018) – Franklin Pierce University Director of Athletics Rachel Burleson has announced Russell Gaskamp has been named as the next head coach of the University’s football program. Gaskamp will be the program’s third coach overall and will be the first to coach the team at the Division II level, as the Ravens join the Northeast-10 Conference in the fall of 2019. He will replace Rashad Watson, who announced his resignation earlier this week.

FINDING THE RIGHT BLEND: Men’s Ice Hockey Looks to Mix Veterans and Newcomers

Every great sports team goes through a rebuild. The Golden State Warriors, Chicago Blackhawks and even the Boston Red Sox have gone through their own rebuilds before their current winning ways. That is what the Franklin Pierce University men’s ice hockey team went through this past offseason. After a 7-18-1 (3-11-1 Northeast-10 Conference) record last season, head coach Shaun Millerick went on a recruiting spree, as he brought 13 freshmen onto the roster for the start of the 2018-19 season. Introducing so many new faces affects everyone in the locker room in many ways. From freshmen and sophomores battling to earn a spot, to juniors and seniors battling to keep their spot on the roster, 13 new faces can do a lot for a new team.
