Ravens host Northeast-10 Championship Sunday

Lambert Lambert and the Ravens are set to host the Northeast-10 Championship on Sunday.

RINDGE, N.H. (November 6, 2014) – The Franklin Pierce University women's cross country team has been picked to finish 12th in the Northeast-10 Conference Coaches' Poll, as announced Thursday morning by the Conference Office. The Ravens collected 63 points in the 15-team poll.

The poll, which is voted on by head women's cross country coaches from across the Conference, comes in advance of Sunday's Northeast-10 Championship, which will be hosted by Franklin Pierce. The women's race is slated to begin at 11 a.m.

The Ravens are picked to finish 12th, up one spot from finishing 13th at last season's Northeast-10 Championship. At the top of the poll, three-time defending Champion Stonehill was picked to claim its ninth Northeast-10 title, as the Skyhawks collected 13 of 15 available first-place votes and 195 points. Saint Michael's (174 points) was picked second and garnered one first-place vote. Filling out the rest of the top-five were Merrimack (152), Assumption (151) and Southern New Hampshire (125) in third, fourth and fifth, respectively.

The next five spots went to Saint Anselm (123), Bentley (113), Adelphi (108), Le Moyne (106) and Saint Rose (92), in that order. Confusingly, Adelphi picked up the remaining first-place vote, despite being picked eighth. Southern Connecticut State (67) was selected 11th, directly in front of the Ravens. Rounding out the poll behind Franklin Pierce were American International (57) in 13th, New Haven (29) in 14th and Pace (20) in 15th.
