Women's Cross Country Finishes 27th at UMass-Dartmouth Invite

Three Ravens finish among the top 150

RESULTS

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (September 15, 2012) – The Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team finished 27th out of 38 teams on Saturday at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational in Dartmouth, Mass. The Ravens produced a score of 724 in the 5k race.

Senior runner Keri Marnane (Cranston, R.I.) was Franklin Pierce’s highest finisher as she placed 110th in a time of 20:29.04. The field included 293 runners.

Freshmen Shannon Lozier (Merrimac, Mass.) and Alyssa Lambert (Manchester, N.H.) were the other two Ravens to finish among the top 150, as Lozier placed 148th and Lambert finished 150th with times of 20:57.04 and 20:57.65, respectively.

Rookie Danielle Koch (Coventry, Conn.) recorded a time of 21:16.61 to place 178th, while sophomore Kelsey Devlin (Warwick, R.I.) was the fifth Raven to count towards the team score as she placed 199th in a time of 21:44.12.

MIT won the race with a score of 17 points.

Franklin Pierce returns to action next Saturday when the Ravens compete in the Ted Owens Invitational in New Britain, Conn. The race will begin at 11 a.m. and will be a 5k event.
