Cross Country Competes At Western New England College Invitational
Garrity leads Ravens with time of 23:14
Charlotte Farber and the Ravens finished 19th on Saturday morning
at the Western New England College Invitational.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (October 18, 2008)
– The Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country
team posted a 19th-place finish at the Western New England College
Invitational on Saturday morning.
Salve Regina took the team title with 87 points. Franklin Pierce
compiled 411 points at the event to finish 19th out of 20 teams.
Maggie Klein of Castleton State ran away with the individual title,
as she finished with a time of 19:13, which was 46 seconds faster
than her closest competitor.
Senior Courtney Garrity
(Manchester, N.H./Manchester Central) led Franklin Pierce,
as she posted a time of 23:14 to place 61st overall among the 150
individuals who competed in the women’s event. Freshman Melissa Dymek (Hubbardston,
Mass./Quabbin Regional) turned in a time of 24:03 to finish
86th overall.
Franklin Pierce is back in action on Saturday, October 25 when it
concludes its season at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships,
hosted by Saint Michael’s in Colchester, Vt. at 11 a.m.
