Courtney Garrity and the Ravens finished 23rd at the Pop Crowell
Invitational on Saturday.

MANCHESTER, N.H. (October 4, 2008)
– Franklin Pierce University posted a 23rd-place finish at
the 37th Pop Crowell Invitational, hosted by Gordon College, on
Saturday morning.
Westfield State took the team title with 49 points. Franklin Pierce
compiled 671 points at the event. Emmanuel’s Catheryn
Lariviere captured the individual title with a time of 18:32. She
narrowly edged out Heather Searles of New Hampshire Tech, who
finished second and also recorded a time of 18:32.
Senior Courtney Garrity
(Manchester, N.H./Manchester Central) led Franklin Pierce,
as she posted a time of 22:59 to place 136tH overall among the 276
individuals who competed in the women’s event. Freshman Melissa Dymek (Hubbardston,
Mass./Quabbin Regional) turned in a time of 24:34 to finish
185th overall.
Franklin Pierce is back in action on Saturday, October 11 when it
competes at the James early Invitational, hosted by Westfield
State, in Westfield, Mass. at 10:45 a.m.
