Cross Country Places Seventh at Shacklette Invitational
Garrity leads Ravens with 51st-place finish

MANCHESTER, N.H. (September 13, 2008) – Franklin Pierce University posted a seventh-place finish at the 27th Shacklette Invitational, hosted by Saint Anselm College, Saturday morning.
The College of Saint Rose took the
team title with 41 points. Franklin Pierce compiled 218 points at
the event. Bentley College’s Frannie Kloza captured the
individual title as she completed the 5K course in 20:13.
Senior Courtney Garrity
(Manchester, N.H./Manchester Central) led Franklin Pierce,
as she posted a time of 25:51 to place 51st overall among the 62
individuals who competed in the women’s event. Senior Francesca Santoro (Medford,
Mass./Medford) turned in a time of 27:16 to finish 59th
overall.
Franklin Pierce is back in action on Friday, when it competes at
the Rivier Invitational in Nashua at 4 p.m.
