Berrouard leads Ravens with top 20 finish

MANCHESTER, N.H. (September 16, 2006) – The Franklin Pierce University cross country team participated in the 25th annual Shacklette Invitational this afternoon hosted by Saint Anselm College. The Ravens finished overall in fifth place with a total time of 2:10:20.

Senior Krystal Berrouard (Swanzey, N.H./Monadnock Regional) led the Ravens, finishing 20th out of 40 runners, with a time of 24:15. Freshman Alex Edwards (Smithfield, R.I./Smithfield) was also solid in her collegiate debut finishing 21st with a total time of 24:32. Junior Chelsea Begin (West Brookfield, Mass./Quabbin Regional) notched a 25th place finish with a time of 25:07.

The cross country team will be in action again next Saturday it participates in the Pop Crowell Invitational hosted by Gordon College. The race is scheduled to begin at 10:45 a.m.
