Franklin Pierce XC Team Participates in Regis College Invitational
Farquhar finishes 20th in Regis Invitational
WESTON, Mass. (October 15, 2005)
– The Franklin Pierce University men's and women's cross
country teams participated today in the 2005 Regis College
Invitational. Overall, the women finished in fifth place.
The top finisher for Franklin Pierce on the women’s side was
freshman Courtney Garrity
(Manchester, N.H./Manchester Central), finishing in 23rd
place with a time of 23:56. Junior Michelle Frazer (Braintree,
Mass./Braintree) finished 31st with a time of 24:35.
The top performer on the men's team was junior Burket Farquhar (Marlborough,
Conn./RHAM) finishing 20th with a time of 32:25. Sophomore
Michael Donahue (Marshfield,
Mass./Marshfield) finished 46th with a time of 36:07out of
57 runners with a time of 29:41.
The teams will be in action again next weekend at the Northeast-10
Conference Championship hosted by Bryant University. The
women’s race will start at 10 a.m. and the men’s race
will start at 11 a.m.
