Franklin Pierce XC Team Participates in Pop Crowell Invitational
Frazer finishes 59th out of 198 runners
WENHAM, Mass. (September 2, 2005)
– The Franklin Pierce University men's and women's cross
country teams participated in the 2005 Pop Crowell Invitational,
hosted by Gordon College. Overall, the women finished in 15th
place, while the men placed 19th overall.
The top finisher for Franklin Pierce on the women’s side was
junior Michelle Frazer (Braintree,
Mass./Weymouth), who placed 59th out of 198 runners with a
time of 22:20 Freshman Courtney
Garrity (Manchester, N.H./Manchester Central) finished 73rd
with a time of 22:42.
The top performer on the men's team was junior Burket Farquhar (Marlborough,
Conn./RHAM) finishing 86th out of 197 runners with a time of
31:25. Sophomore Thomas Merkt
(Enfield, Conn./Cathedral) finished 99th with a time of
31:57.
The teams next participate in the Rivier College Invitational on
September 30 with the women's race starting at 4 p.m. and the men's
race starting at 4:45 p.m.
