Men finish seventh, women finish ninth

WESTON, Mass. (October 18, 2003) – The Franklin Pierce men's and women’s cross country teams took part in the Regis College Invitational on Saturday.

The men finished seventh out of 14 teams and the women’s team finished ninth out of 16.

Sophomore Rachell Mitchell (Shirley, Mass./Ayer) led the women, finishing 13th out of 131 runners with a time of 21:31.1.

David Mura (Auburn, Mass./Auburn) was the top finisher for the Franklin Pierce men, finishing 37th out of a field of 114 competitors.

Franklin Pierce returns to action on Saturday, October 25, when it runs in the Northeast-10 Conference Cross Country Championships at 10:30 a.m.
