Womens XC Team Finishes Second, Men Finish Fourth at the New England College Invitational
Mitchell, Zizza and Morchauser medal for the Ravens
HENNIKER, N.H. (October 4, 2003)
– The Franklin Pierce University women's cross country
finished second and the men finished fourth at the New England
College Invitational this afternoon.
Sophomore Rachel Mitchell
(Shirley, Mass./Ayer) finished second out of 25 runners with
a time of 22:33.75 while freshman Lisa Zizza (Quincy, Mass./Fontbonne
Academy) and senior Christine Morchauser (Utica, N.Y./Notre
Dame) also medalled with times of 23:17.81 (fourth) and
23:44.76 (fifth) respectively.
The top finisher on the men's side for the Ravens was junior Adam Marsh (Rutland, Mass./Wachusett
Regional), who placed 12th with his time of 31:29.98.
The team next hosts the Franklin Pierce Invitational on Thursday,
Oct. 9 with the women's race starting at 3 p.m. and the men's race
starting at 3:30 p.m.
