Franklin Pierce XC Team Participates in Shacklette Invitational
The women finish fourth, men finish in fifth
MANCHESTER, N.H. (September 14, 2003)
– The Franklin Pierce University women's cross country team
posted a fourth place finish, while the men finished fifth at the
Shacklette Invitational, hosted by Saint Anselm College, this
afternoon.
The top finisher for Franklin Pierce on the women’s side was
sophomore Rachel Mitchell
(Shirley, Mass./Ayer), who placed 11th out of a field of 47
competitors with her time of 22:06.
The top performer on the men's team was junior Adam Marsh (Rutland, Mass./Wachusett
Regional), finishing 24th out of 42 with a time of
33:49.
The team next travels to Gordon College to participate in the Pop
Crowell Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 27 with the women's race
starting at 10:30 a.m. and the men's race starting at 11:00 a.m.
