Men's Cross Country Team Captures First Place at Rivier Invitational, Women Finish Third
RINDGE, N.H. (September 14, 2001) - The
Franklin Pierce University Men's Cross Country team defended last
year's first place victory at the Rivier Cross Country Invitational
with another first place showing at the meet this afternoon in
Nashua, N.H.
FPC's Ken Gowell (Sabattus,
Maine/Oak Hill) finished first out of 18 runners with his
time of 26:56, and teammate Nate
Kennedy (Fitzwilliam, N.H./Monadnock) finished right behind
with 29:26, good for second place. Rounding out the top four was
sophomore Jeff Joslyn (Sterling,
Conn./Plainfield), who posted a time of 31:25.
The Franklin Pierce University women's team finished third out of
five teams participating in the Rivier Invitational. The top
finisher for FP was sophomore Allison Agri (Wakefield,
Mass./Wakefield), who placed 13th with her time of 27:43.
