RINDGE, N.H. (March 1, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University track & field program has collected seven All-East Region selections from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for the indoor season, as announced on Monday by the USTFCCCA.

The USTFCCCA bestows All-Region honors on those who post the five best performances in each region in an event, as well as to all members of a relay team which is ranked in the top three in the region. Franklin Pierce had three women combine for four All-Region selections, well three members of the men’s team were honored as well.

The lone Raven to earn multiple All-Region selections came on the women’s side, as graduate student Nicole Galewski (Whitman, Mass.) was honored in both the 60-meter hurdles (9.05) and the pentathlon (3250 points). It marked the fifth and sixth All-Region accolades of her career.

Joining Galewski on the women’s side of things was junior Lilian Baah (Danielson, Conn.), who was honored in the triple jump (11.53m), and senior Emily Quinn (West Bridgewater, Mass.), who was honored in the weight throw (17.46m). It is the fourth All-Region selection for Quinn in her career, while Baah earned the accolade for the second time.

For the men, freshman Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France), senior Rindal Pierre-Canel (Randolph, Mass.) and sophomore Jeff Reddy (Chester, N.H.) earned All-Region honors in one event each. Arlabosse did so in the 800 meters (1:52.33), Pierre-Canel in the triple jump (14.08m) and Reddy in the 5000 meters (14:47.07). It was Reddy’s second career All-Region honor in track & field, to go with one in cross country. Arlabosse and Pierre-Canel both earned their first All-Region awards.

The Ravens are scheduled to open the outdoor season on Friday, March 23, at the UNF Spring Break Invitational, hosted by University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla.
