RINDGE, N.H. (May 17, 2016) – Graduate student Andre Wooten (St. Charles, Mo.) and senior Alyssa Lambert (Manchester, N.H.) will represent the Franklin Pierce University track & field program at the NCAA Championships, as announced Tuesday evening by the NCAA.

The NCAA Championships will be hosted by the University of Tampa and IMG Academy on May 26-28 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

Lambert will compete in the 1500 meters, which will feature preliminary heats on May 26 at 6:10 p.m., followed by the final on May 28 at 5:45 p.m. Wooten will compete in the triple jump, which will be contested on May 28 at 4:45 p.m.

Lambert qualified for the 1500 via her performance on April 22, at Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational, where she turned in a time of 4:30.36. The time is the third-fastest by a Northeast-10 Conference student-athlete this year and ranks 28th in the nation. While only the top 20 competitors in each individual event are selected to the NCAA Championships, Lambert earned her selection after several student-athletes above her on the descending-order list elected not to compete in the 1500 meters. Lambert earned the first indoor NCAA Championships berth in the history of the women's program in March, and is now the first member of the Ravens' women's squad to earn an outdoor berth as well.

Wooten posted his best triple mark of the year just over a week ago, at the Northeast-10 Championship, where he posted a hop, skip and jump of 15.28 meters to win the title. The mark ranked second in the league on the season, as well as 15th in the country.
