PHILADELPHIA (April 28, 2016) – The Franklin Pierce University women's track & field team fielded a 4x400-meter relay squad on Thursday at the prestigious Penn Relays at historic Franklin Field. Senior Alyssa Lambert (Manchester, N.H.), who ran the third leg on the relay squad, also competed individually in the College Women's 3000-meter Championship.

The 4x400-meter squad finished in 74th place, with a time of 4:10.25, which currently ranks sixth-fastest in the Northeast-10 Conference so far this spring. The Ravens quartet consisted of senior Monique Loney (Stamford, Conn.), sophomore Danielle Crawford (Lowell, Mass.), Lambert and sophomore Alexa Cassara (Bay Shore, N.Y.).

For her part, Lambert took eighth in the 3000 meters, with a time of 9:53.01. She was the top Division II finisher in the event.

Thursday was the only day the women's team was scheduled to compete at the Penn Relays. The Ravens return the full team to the track on Saturday, April 30, at the Capital District Classic, hosted by RPI in Troy, N.Y.
