CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (May 9, 2015) – The Franklin Pierce University Women's Track and Field team represented well on Saturday, the final day at the NEICAAA Championships hosted at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The headline would be the seventh place finish of sophomore Nicole Galewski (Pembroke, Mass.) in the heptathalon.  

Galewski's highlight put her on the map for the day, a first place finish in the Women's Long Jump, as she jumped a distance of 5.15 meters. The jump set a new competition record for the championships. Junior Nadine Hyde (Maple Valley, Wash.) took home 16^th place in the discus throw as she posted a distance of 35.65 meters on her throw. 

Galewski also competed in one of the two relay teams on the track for the day, as juniors Monique Loney (Stamford, Conn.), Jackie Price (Brick, N.J.), and Nikki Zeigler (Circleville, N.Y.) teamed in the 4x100 meter relay for an 18^th place finish. The four took home a time of 49.44 seconds in the event. Price and Loney would carry over to the 4x400 meter relay as well, joining sophomore Kayla Phipps (New Windsor, N.Y.) and freshman Danielle Crawford (Lowell, Mass.). That tandem finished in 21^st place with a time of 4:03.70 minutes.
