Gagnon Gagnon earned the first Northeast-10 award of the outdoor season for the women's track and field team.

RINDGE, N.H. (April 30, 2014) – Freshman Miranda Gagnon (Rollinsford, N.H.) of the Franklin Pierce University women's track and field team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Field Rookie of the Week for the week ending on April 27, as announced Tuesday by the Conference office.

Gagnon became the first Raven in the two-year history of the women's program to meet an NCAA Championship provisional qualifying time on Saturday at Regis' Pride Classic Invitational. She finished second in the javelin at the meet, with a throw of 40.32 meters. Gagnon already had the longest throw in the Northeast-10 on the season, but widened her lead with the toss.

It is the first weekly award of the outdoor season on the women's side of things for the Ravens. For Gagnon, it is the first Northeast-10 weekly honor of her career

The Ravens return to the track on Friday and Saturday, May 2 and 3, at the Northeast-10 Championships, hosted by Stonehill.
