Lauren Smilovich is one of two Ravens named to the Northeast-10
Conference Weekly Honor Roll.RINDGE, N.H. (October 7, 2008) –
Junior Bianca Lapointe
(Plainfield, Conn./St. Bernard) and sophomore Lauren Smilovich (Meriden, Conn./Sacred Heart
Academy) of the Franklin Pierce University women’s
tennis team have both been named to the Northeast-10 Conference
Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Oct. 6, as announced
Tuesday by the conference office.
The duo teamed together to earn an 8-3 win in third doubles over
Megan Bagg and Katarina Lisaius of Saint Michael’s on
Sunday.
Later, Smilovich earned her first singles victory of the season
with a 6-1, 5-7, 6-3 victory in No. 4 singles over Jessica Maurice.
Smilovich was a part of both points earned on the afternoon by
Franklin Pierce in a 7-2 loss.
The Ravens (0-3, 0-3 NE-10) return to the court this afternoon
when they host Stonehill in a Northeast-10 Conference contest.
