Womens Tennis Blanked At Le Moyne, 9-0
Ravens back in action on Thursday against SNHU
Lauren Smilovich and the Ravens were defeated at Le Moyne on
Sunday.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (April 5, 2009) –
The Franklin Pierce University women’s tennis team was
shutout, 9-0, in Northeast-10 Conference play at Le Moyne on Sunday
afternoon.
Sophomore Lauren Smilovich
(Meriden, Conn./Sacred Heart Academy) and freshman Suzana Deronjic (Melrose,
Mass./Melrose) posted the stronger showings for Franklin
Pierce in singles play. Smilovich was defeated by Le Moyne freshman
Caroline Tisdell (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Bros. Academy), 6-3,
6-4, while Deronjic fell, 6-1, 6-4 to junior Allison Cohen
(Fayetteville, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt).
All six Le Moyne players posted wins in both singles and doubles as
the Dolphins swept their way to the victory.
The Ravens (2-7, 2-6 Northeast-10) return to the court on Thursday,
April 9, when they host Southern New Hampshire in a Northeast-10
Conference match at 2 p.m. in Rindge, N.H. Le Moyne (4-7, 4-5
Northeast-10) returns to action on April 7 at American
International.
