NORTHFIELD, Vt. (January 27, 2018) – In its final meet of the regular season, the Franklin Pierce University women's swimming team was defeated by both Massachusetts Dartmouth (97-50) and host Norwich (68-50) in tri-meet action at Norwich's Goodyear Pool. Freshman Nicole McIntosh (North Pole, Alaska) led the way for the Ravens with a pair of victories on the day.

McIntosh collected three top-two finishes on the day, including two of Franklin Pierce's three event wins at the meet. She was victorious in both the 100-yard butterfly (1:05.70) and the 100-yard backstroke (1:07.57), while placing second in the 200-yard individual medley (2:28.24).

The remaining event victory for the Ravens came courtesy of freshman Mary Messina (Rindge, N.H.) in the 200-yard freestyle. She put together a swim of 2:11.34.

Franklin Pierce had two other top-three individual finishes on Saturday in the Green Mountain State. Freshman Emalee Frady (Anaheim, Calif.) took second in the 500-yard freestyle (6:03.79), while freshman Josephine Krysinski (Olympia, Wash.) placed third in the 1000-yard freestyle (12:54.36).

The Ravens return to the pool on Feb. 8-11, when they travel to Worcester, Mass. for the Northeast-10 Conference Championship, hosted by Assumption.
