Women’s Soccer Earns 2020-21 Team Academic Award from United Soccer Coaches

KANSAS CITY (October 1, 2021) – The Franklin Pierce University women’s soccer program was among 645 men’s and women’s college soccer programs to earn the United Soccer Coaches’ Team Academic Award for the 2020-21 academic year, as announced last month by the organization.
Franklin Pierce has Two Selected to NE10 Hall of Fame

MANSFIELD, Mass. (June 28, 2021) -- A pair of Franklin Pierce University alumni have been selected for induction into the Northeast-10 Conference Hall of Fame, as announced on Monday afternoon by the league office. Baseball alum Mike Adams ’09 and women’s soccer alum Gabriela Demoner ’10 will become the eighth and ninth Franklin Pierce honorees in the NE10 Hall of Fame.
Franklin Pierce Athletics Announces 2020 Hall of Fame Class

RINDGE, N.H. (June 16, 2021) -- Selected last summer, but delayed by the pandemic, the Franklin Pierce University Department of Athletics is pleased to finally announce its 2020 Hall of Fame class, which features three inductees, including a pair of former All-Americans. The 2020 class will join the 2021 Hall of Fame class, to be selected this summer, for a joint induction weekend, to be held on Oct. 1-2. The formal induction will take place at a private social on Friday night, Oct. 1. The two classes will then be honored publicly on Saturday, in conjunction with the Oct. 2 football game against Assumption.
Women’s Soccer Tripped up by Saint Anselm on Senior Night, 3-1

RINDGE, N.H. (April 26, 2021) -- It was Monday night football, of the European variety, at Sodexo Field, as the Franklin Pierce University women’s soccer team and Saint Anselm locked horns for a non-conference spring tilt. Saint Anselm struck twice in the opening 12 minutes and added a late insurance marker to come away with a 3-1 victory. Senior Keyla Gonzalez Jaen (San Jose, Costa Rica) scored the lone goal for the Ravens, who honored their senior class prior to the game.
Women’s Soccer Doubles up AIC, 2-1

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 18, 2021) -- For the second time in four days, the Franklin Pierce University women’s soccer team dealt American International a one-goal loss. This time, it was a 2-1 victory for the Ravens on the road, at AIC’s Abdow Field. Freshman Hailey Goodman (Blackstone, Mass.) scored both goals in the win for Franklin Pierce, and has now scored three times in two games to begin her collegiate career.
Women’s Soccer Returns to Action with 3-2 Win at Home Against AIC

(April 15, 2021) -- Back on the field in a competitive setting for the first time in more than 17 months, the Franklin Pierce University women’s soccer team opened its abbreviated spring schedule on Thursday night, amid some mid-April snowflakes at Sodexo Field. Sophomore Tess McKenzie (Warren, R.I.) found the net just 108 seconds into the proceedings to get the Ravens off on the right foot and on their way to a 3-2 victory over visiting American International.

Franklin Pierce Tabs Matt Johnson as Head Coach of Women’s Soccer Program

(February 2, 2021) -- Franklin Pierce University Director of Athletics Rachel Burleson has announced Matt Johnson has been named the fifth head coach of the University’s women’s soccer program. Johnson comes to Rindge with nearly a decade of head coaching experience at the Division II level already under his belt, and brings plenty of administrative experience with him as well.
Women’s Soccer Alum Veronica Marques ‘20 Signs Professional Deal with Esporte Clube Bahia

SALVADOR, Brazil (November 11, 2020) – Veronica Marques ’20 (Sao Paulo, Brazil), formerly of the Franklin Pierce University women’s soccer program, has signed a contract to play professional soccer with Esporte Clube Bahia, as announced recently by the Brazilian club. The club competes in highest levels of women’s soccer in Brazil.
Women’s Soccer Alum Gabi Pereira ’20 Signs Professional Deal with Atletico Mineiro

BELO HORIZONTE, Brazil (October 27, 2020) – Gabi Pereira ’20 (Belo Horizonte, Brazil), formerly of the Franklin Pierce University women’s soccer program, has signed a contract to play professional soccer with Clube Atletico Mineiro, as announced recently by the Brazilian club. Atletico Mineiro competes in highest levels of women’s soccer in Brazil.

The group features six international signings, as well as trio players who will join the Ravens from high schools in the northeastern United States.
