37 Franklin Pierce Student-Athletes Receive NE10's Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence

MANSFIELD, Mass. (6/23/23) – The Northeast-10's third annual Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence is out, and dozens of Franklin Pierce University Ravens made the list.

This year, thirty-seven Franklin Pierce Athletes were named, a number that ranks second among the seventeen schools eligible for the award. At Pierce, softball racked up the most awards with five, while the Football, women's lacrosse, and men's tennis programs each earned four.

In total, 252 student-athletes were named from the NE10's thirteen member institutions and four of its associated members.

The Northeast-10 Commissioner Julie Ruppert says, "This is the third year of the Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence and the incredible commitment our honorees exhibit in their academic pursuits continues to amaze me. Congratulations to them all on this prestigious achievement."

To be considered for the NE10's Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence, a graduating student-athlete must attain a GPA of 3.8 (Latin honor of Magna Cum Laude) or better, must have participated in at least two full seasons of NE10 competition, and is an active student-athlete at their time of graduation. Each award recipient receives a commemorative NE10 medallion for their accomplishments.
