IWLCA Division II Academic Honor Roll

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. (August 9, 2021) -- Seven members of the Franklin Pierce University women's lacrosse team have been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association's Division II Academic Honor Roll for the 2021 season, as announced earlier this summer by the IWLCA.

In order to be selected to the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be either a junior, senior or graduate student, and must possess a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher. Across Division II, 442 student-athletes earned the accolade, representing 73 institutions.

Of the seven Ravens who were honored, three were from the senior class: Jenna Cimbron (Bristol, R.I.), Jacklyn Keane (Framingham, Mass.) and Caroline Lounsbury (Franklin, Mass.). The remaining four were juniors: Megyn Ayotte (Guilford, Vt.), Kaitlyn Daly (LaGrangeville, N.Y.), Riley Lynch (Medford, Mass.) and Madisyn Van Horn (Pulaski, N.Y.).

As the IWLCA's Academic Honor Roll program was suspended in 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is the first career selection for all seven.

The Ravens (7-3, 6-2 Northeast-10) finished their season third in the NE10's Northeast Division and picked up the first postseason win in program history on April 30, with a 15-7 win over Saint Michael's in the first round of the NE10 Championship.
