WORCESTER, Mass. (April 24, 2010) -- The Franklin Pierce University women's lacrosse team won its second game in a row and for the third time in the last four games with a 20-7 triumph at Assumption in Worcester, Mass. on Saturday. The Ravens improved to 6-8 overall and 4-6 in the Northeast-10, while the Greyhounds fell to 1-10 and 0-9 in league play.

Freshman Courtney Weber (Centerport, N.Y.) and junior Lauren Stille (North Quincy, Mass.) each fired in five goals to pace the Ravens' offensive attack. Each player also assisted on another tally to register six-point afternoons.

Sophomore Mary Kate Stille (North Quincy, Mass.) and freshman Melissa Richtel (Castle Rock, Colo.) scored three and two goals, respectively, as nine Ravens in all scored at least one goal. Sophomore Jillian Bolduc (Atkinson, N.H.) made 16 saves in goal to earn the win.

Erin Theriault and Caitlin White each scored a pair of goals to lead Assumption. Greyhound goalkeeper Mary King took the loss after yielding 20 goals and making just 15 saves.

The game was close over the opening five minutes as it was tied 1-1. However, it was all Franklin Pierce after that as the Ravens scored 12 of the contest's next 13 goals to open up a commanding 13-2 advantage.

Webber started the surge with a goal at the 25:19 mark and recorded four markers in all during the rally. She capped the run with a goal with just 3:24 remaining in the first half.

Lauren Stille also had four goals during the run, including back-to-back markers, at the 8:33 and 6:13 marks, respectively. Lauren's sister, Mary Kate, had a pair of goals during the run, while Mariama Bonetti (New York, N.Y.) and Ashley Lamagdeleine (Westfield, Mass.) each scored once.

The Ravens outshot Assumption, 23-12, over the first 30 minutes and was a solid 22-of-23 in clear attempts. Franklin Pierce's strong midfield play hindered Assumption's attack as the Greyhounds were just 13-of-20 in clear attempts in the first half while also totaling 17 turnovers. It all added up to the Ravens holding a 13-3 lead at halftime.

Franklin Pierce outscored the Greyhounds, 7-4, in the second half. Jordan Baillargeon (Westfield, Mass.) and Christine McKay (Norwood, Mass.) were the two new Ravens to score in the second half, while Richtel capped the game's scoring with a pair of goals in the final 7:03.
