FPU women clip Owls, sense lax turnaround

Last week, last month, last year,
the shot would have caromed off in another direction. That's just
the way things were going for the Franklin Pierce women's lacrosse
team.
But not now, not this time. Sophomore attacker Lauren Stille's
first-period shot hit the post, but instead of bouncing away, it
took one hop back into the basket of Stille's stick, and Franklin
Pierce's leading scorer wasted no time in making good on the
second-chance effort.
It was a cold, wet Monday afternoon at Owl Athletic Complex, but
the gloomy days are behind Franklin Pierce. With their 17-14
victory over the Owls, the Ravens won back-to-back games for the
first time in five years.
