Bio

Madeline Norton wrapped up her second season as an assistant coach with the Franklin Pierce University women's ice hockey team in 2015-16.

A four-year letterwinner at Union (bio), Norton makes her collegiate coaching debut with the Ravens. A constant presence on the blue line in Schenectady, she missed just one game over four years with the Dutchwomen and finished her career with 29 points on five goals and 24 assists over 135 games. When she graduated, Norton was tied for sixth all-time in program annals in assists and tied for third in games played. She saved her best offensive year for last, as she finished as the team's leading scorer with 3-18-21 over 34 games as a senior in 2013-14.

A two-time team captain at Union, Norton was voted by her teammates as Rookie of the Year in 2010-11 and later took home the Hana Yamashita Coaches Award in 2013-14. In the classroom, she was a three-time ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team selection. Norton came to Rindge with three years of youth hockey coaching experience, having previously worked with Chelsea Piers and Dynamic Skating.

Originally from New Canaan, Conn., Norton graduated from Union in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in American history. She is pursuing her master's degree at Franklin Pierce
