Burtlington, VT.- The Franklin Pierce Ravens (2-2-0,2-0-0 NEWHA) complete the sweep of the Saint Michael's Purple Knights (0-4-0, 0-2-0 NEWHA).

Head Coach David Stockdale saw a lot yesterday. He saw his team lead the pace of play and control possession. He saw Alyssa Kawa pot the only goal of the night. He saw a 1-0 win. Today Stockdale saw his group win a hockey game conceding no goals once again.

Franklin Pierce scored 11 goals to soar to their second victory of the season.

The Ravens were keyed up front by Mikalya Kelley with four points (two goals, two assists). Another key player up front for the Ravens was center Jenna Ruiz. She added three points ( one goal, two assists), and won 23 faceoffs of the 30 she took.

A five goal second period was the decisive frame for the Ravens who put home more goals in that one period than in any of their first three games.

In net Olivia Klunowski and Gwen Bowler combined for the shutout. Olivia made 19 saves over two full  periods of action for her first win of the season. Bowler added 4 saves in a full third period of relief work. This sweep of St Michaels propels the Ravens into first place with four points in the New England Women's Hockey Alliance.
