RINDGE, N.H. (March 18, 2015) – Nine members of the Franklin Pierce University women's ice hockey team have been named to the ECAC East All-Academic Team, as announced earlier this week by the Conference office.

The ECAC East All-Academic Team honors all student-athletes who carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher and have completed at least one full year at their current institution. In total, 140 student athletes from the 14 Conference institutions earned the accolade, led by 14 selections from Castleton State.

Franklin Pierce's four designated leaders led the team by example, as both captains -- junior defensemen Hayley Arnold (Barre, Vt.) and Michelle Stock (Austin, Texas) -- and both alternate captains -- junior forward Colleen Doucette (Wakefield, Mass.) and junior defenseman Samantha Bureau (Ottawa, Ontario) -- all landed on the ECAC East All-Academic Team. In addition to their classmate, junior forward Karsyn Baker (Detroit, Mich.), four sophomores were honored as well: forward Lanie Matsumoto (Fort Collins, Colo.), goaltenders Shannon O'Neil (Tewksbury, Mass.) and Noelle White (Corona, Calif.) and forward Alysha Raimo (Fitchburg, Mass.).

The Ravens (20-6-1, 13-4-0 ECAC East) finished tied for third in the ECAC East in their inaugural season in the league and put together the program's first 20-win season along the way. Franklin Pierce claimed the top seed in the ECAC Open Tournament and advanced to the championship contest, before falling to Holy Cross, 4-1.
