Women's Golf: Ravens Kick Off 2024 Campaign with 1st Place Team and Individual Finish in North Carolina

SUNSET BEACH, N.C. (3/8/2024) – The Franklin Pierce University women's golf team kicked off their 2024 campaign with success and sunshine at the Sea Trails Intercollegiate Golf Tournament in Sunset Beach, North Carolina over the weekend after the Ravens earned first place as a team led by Kesinee Prukmathakul (Bangkok, Thailand) who earned first place individually.

Competing in the field of nine schools, The Ravens finished with a final score of 314-310(624), which was just one stroke from the second place Wildcats of Northern Michigan University.

During the first round, the team finished tied for second, three strokes behind the Wildcats (311). In the second round, the Ravens made their names known as they took care of business and hit a round best 310 to secure the single stroke victory. Individually, Prukmathakul shot a (72-72-144), which was either the lowest or tied the lowest score on both days which helped her secure the first place finish by two strokes.
