KEENE, N.H. (September 26, 2021) -- A one-over 73 from junior Alia Godek (Feeding Hills, Mass.) and a three-over 75 from freshman Kesinee Prukmathakul (Bangkok, Thailand) were one-two on the leaderboard on Sunday, following the first round of the FPU Fall Invitational. The duo led the Franklin Pierce University women's golf team to a round of 307 (+19), which was good enough for a 21-shot lead at the midway point of the three-team event. The Ravens are hosting the two-day tournament at the stock par-72, 5364-yard Keene Country Club.

Godek and Prukmathakul led the way for the Ravens, and were backed up by a 79 (+7) from sophomore Kayla Schuberth (Wrentham, Mass.) and an 80 (+8) from freshman Phisonlaya Ruayruen (Chiangmai, Thailand) to round out the team's scoring four. Junior Micaela Leandro (Harlingen, Texas) contributed a 90 (+18) to close out Franklin Pierce's five-player lineup.

It was all good enough to put the Ravens in a favorable position heading into Monday's final round. Franklin Pierce is 21 shots in front of second-place Assumption at 328 (+40) and 26 shots ahead of third-place Adelphi at 333 (+45).

On the individual front, Godek is two shots in front of Prukmathakul at the midway point. One shot farther back, Assumption senior Skylar Wolfe and Saint Rose sophomore Erika Fuentes are tied-fourth at 76 (+4). Adelphi sophomore Ilaria Ponziani is solo-fifth at 77 (+5).

In addition to the three teams competing at the FPU Fall Invitational, 21 golfers are competing as individuals to make up a 36-golfer field, including three further Ravens. Sophomore Alexis St. Laurent (Nashua, N.H.) turned in a first-round 87 (+15) and is tied-18th, freshman Kaylee Lintner (Walpole, N.H.) carded an 89 (+17) and is tied-22nd, and junior Liz Crandall (Pawcatuck, Conn.) shot a 97 (+25) and is tied-30th

The FPU Fall Invitational wraps up on Monday with the second round, beginning at 8 a.m. at Keene Country Club.
