JAMESVILLE, N.Y. (September 17, 2017) – The Franklin Pierce University women's golf team played their first 18 holes during the Le Moyne Fall Invitational Sunday at The Pompey Club in Jamesville, N.Y.

Following a Third Place finish last week, the Ravens responded with a 306 (+18) first round total which makes the Crimson and Grey the clubhouse leader. FPU currently holds a two stroke lead over second place squad Kutztown University (308, +20). Gannon University stands in third at 314 (+26).

Senior Camden Morrison (Millis, Mass.) golfed her lowest round as a collegiate golfer as she was four under par for the day at 68 (-4). Her previous best was a 69 (-3) at the FPU Fall Invitational last year. Morrison ranks first in the field of 64 players. Also ranking in the top-five was sophomore Zoe Yamamoto (Honolulu, Hawaii) who turned in a fifth place 76 (+4) scorecard.

Taylor Hartley (Battle Ground, Wash.) and Taylor Schmidt (West Springfield, Mass.) posted identical marks of 81 (+9) which tied them for 15th place. Sarah Daley (Beverly, Mass.) rounded out the Ravens scoring with a 22nd place 82 (+10) showing.

The Ravens look to take more strokes off their day one score as they return to the links tomorrow for the second round.
