Women’s Golf Slated for First Place Finish at NE-10 Championships
RINDGE, N.H. (September 23, 2016) – The Franklin Pierce women's golf team have been selected to finish first this weekend during the Northeast-10 Championship at the Bretwood Golf Course in Keene, N.H. in a poll conducted by the leagues head coaches' announced by the league offices on Friday.
The Ravens earned 35 points and five first place votes on their way to the top spot in the rankings. FPU is led by junior captain Camden Morrison (Millis, Mass.) and her two first place individual finishes during the FPU Fall Invitational and the Michael Corbett Classic. As a team, the Crimson and Grey have placed first of five teams and second of 17 squads in both invites.
Two-time conference champion Merrimack is projected for a second place finish with one first place vote and 31 points. Le Moyne was chosen for the third place spot earning a first place vote and 27 points. Adelphi is slated for a fourth place finish with 18 points while Saint Rose (16), Assumption (12) and Southern New Hampshire (8) round out the poll.
