ALLENTOWN, Pa. (March 10, 2017) – Franklin Pierce University women's bowler, freshman Katey Comstock (Hartland, Vt.) bowled during the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Intercollegiate Singles Championship (ISC) Sectionals on Friday at the AMF Rose Bowl in Allentown.

The USBC Sectionals is a postseason event for collegiate bowling. In order to compete this weekend, teams have to qualify in the nation's top-64. The 64 squads are spread out across four locations and the top five individual bowers from each location advance to nationals in April.

The format for the weekend of bowling differs from NCAA Events. There is no win or loss record and results are solely based on total pinfall.

Comstock was the lone participant for the Crimson and Grey and she placed 93rd as she knocked down 979 pins. Her high score came in the opening game as she rolled a 184 and the newcomer ended her day of bowling with a score of 181.

The Ravens will return to action tomorrow when they compete in the team portion of the sectionals.
