READING, Pa. (February 14, 2016) -- In the final day of the Golden Bear Classic, sophomore Jessica Davies (Cape Coral, Fla.) of the Franklin Pierce University bowling team was awarded All-Tournament Team honors. The final day featured best-of-seven Baker matches, in which the Ravens went 1-2 to finish seventh at the event, hosted by Kutztown University at Bowl-o-Rama.

In the first match of the day against Morgan State, all seven games were used, but the Ravens fell in the final game to suffer a 4-3 defeat.

The loss set up a match with Felician, which had defeated Mount Aloysius in its first match of the day. The Golden Falcons made relatively quick work of the Ravens, posting a 4-1 win.

The two losses left the Ravens in the tournament's seventh-place match, where they squared off with Saint Peter's, which had picked up wins over both New Jersey City and Mount Aloysius earlier in the day. The Ravens were able to bounce back in their final match of the weekend, as they beat the Peacocks, 4-1.

Davies was awarded All-Tournament Team accolades for her scores over the three-day tournament, where her Baker frame average was 19.2.

The Ravens are back in action on Feb. 26-28 at the Hawk Flight Invitational, hosted by Monmouth.
