Franklin Pierce women's bowling

RINDGE, NH (January 5, 2015) –Franklin Pierce women's bowling was among the 10 teams nationally ranked last month in the National Tenpin Coaches Association first ever  D2/D3 December Poll in Nashville, Tenn.

The Ravens were ranked eighth out of 10 teams with a record of 26-30, and a 35 in adjusted point standing in their first season. This is the first national ranking for Franklin Pierce's women's bowling program.

University of Central Missouri was a unanimous choice for first place with 176 points, a 31-12 record and a 176 in adjusted point standing.  University of Wisconsin-Whitewater was ranked second with a 27-14 record, and a 144 in adjusted point standing.

NTCA voters rank the top 10 D2/D3 teams on their ballot. Each position has a designated point value, ranging from 11 points for first place and one point for tenth place. Teams are ranked using the adjusted total point standings, after the highest and lowest votes are dropped.

Women's bowling returns to action Friday January 30th in the Red Flash Invitational hosted by Saint Francis University in Altoona, Pa.
